Incorporation of the Town of St. George Island requires two steps: a local bill passed by the Florida Legislature, and approval by SGI voters in a referendum. We are asking that our elected officials in the Legislature sponsor the incorporation legislation so that our voters can exercise their democratic right to decide whether to become a municipality.
